5 stitches
Once again... I landed up in the hospital.
Yesterday was a normal RGS NCC training... until 5pm. Well finally had PT, and I realised Trina can run fast! After 2 rounds I seriously think I cannot go another round at the same speed. But then again, I was having abit of flu so the nose and lungs are not very well.
Comes games... they played this thing called the "Twin Towers". Basically there's a catcher and someone being chased. The one being chased have to run and look for a pair of "twin towers", and the person on the other side of the twin towers have to now run and look for another twin towers. So, thinking that it was fun, and I can probably train a little of running, I joined in. Got chased and I ran as fast as I could. Apparently the running shoes are not very good for braking. So when I try to stop/slow down, the legs just STOPPED and the body continues to move. Dang. Skidded on the ground (netball court)... and the head still has the momentum and decides to move and hit hard on the floor. Felt ok, but when I looked up, red stuff start to drip down. So in my mind I went like "shit. bad." Sit up, removed my specs (and went like "shit! my 700bucks specs are badly scratched"), and quickly use my hand to press on the wound to try to stop the bleeding.
I guess the Part As and Bs freaked out. Managed to move to the shade. Seriously at that point of time I was impressed by Tiffany. Looking at the Part As and Bs crowding around, she shouted "Part As and Bs fall in NOW!". Impressed. She certainly acted well as a CSM.
Ok back to me, I got them to get me tissue/toilet paper for me to press on the wound. They wanted to call the ambulance and I shouted "NO NO NO! Don't need ambulance!" So they had to go and cancel it. Good thing that RGS Red Cross people are skilled. So they got the red cross (probably a few sec 3s) to help me clean up the wound, and dress it. Thought I was fine, and at that point of time still wanted to go watch Dark Knight. It was until when I was changed and was waiting for the bus, the wound on the forehead started to bleed again. I was afraid that it might flood the whole dressing so I was using a tissue to press on the dressing on the wound. Still took the public bus home, went to AMK central and headed for the optical shop to get my specs fixed. I'm still very sad that it's very badly scratched. Ok and headed home. Decided to cancel the movie when the wound started to bleed again.
Oh and I was really glad to hear from Amanda that she was praying for me! (: Indeed as the both of us agreed, we have an amazing God!
Met my mom at the void deck, headed for the clinic. The doctor asked me to go to the hospital to get it stitched. (ok Ms Goh and the red cross people had already told me that I would need stitches). Went back home, looked at my wound for the first time. WOaH! BAD! okay.... So got the forester to send me, my mum and my sis, to TTSH. Long queue as usual. The doctor who did the checks and the stitches for me was very funny. Super hyper woman. Well and because I had an head operation when I was 14, they warded me for the night to do CT scan.
Was smsing Feline, Jiawei, Angela and Amanda at the same time when I was waiting. Sms-ed Bang too. And he called back. How sweet. (: Well told him the story... and said "See him on the 7th". Next, Maj Gary called!
gary: "Eh! What happen to you?!"
me: "huh? how you know??"
gary: "You think got no one tell me one ar?"
me: "huh? Who lah!"
gary: "So what happened?"
me: "hit my head lor. need stitches. Still waiting."
gary: "What?! Still waiting? The teacher-officer with you ar?"
me: "huh? no lah!"
gary: "why not? cos he lazy?"
me: "huh? nononono."
gary: "haha. anyway you pass the bill to me. I'll settle it. and I still owe you a pair of shoes"
me: "uh... ok"
and somewhere in between that conversation he told me how he know lah. Hahas so sweet of him... and as usual our conversation is very funny. xD
CT Scan was cleared. No other complications. Went back home. Napped. Woke up too late and so didn't go for cell meeting.
The whole body is sooooooo aching now. Forehead wound is ok. I just have to be abit gentle when I walk and with my expressions so I wouldn't disturb it. Right elbow hurts like mad when it touches the water. Knees abrasions nothing serious. Huge blueblacks on my knees and right hip. Neck muscles aching. Left arm also aching cos of the tetanus injection.
With so much pain, I don't feel like doing any work. So I shall go lie down now.
(oh and Amanda... the stitches are BLUe!)

loveNTU ministry
Recently I was very troubled by having to go for this NTU Prayer meeting... thinking that I don't belong to it. The pressure from Hawling, Angela and Desmond made me felt that being in there is a MUST, a "you do not have a choice" thing. I guess it was because of these things, that made me want to rebel. Thoughts like "Why can't I do what I like" just filled my heart and mind for weeks.
Thank God for the chat with Angela on Thursday. She encouraged me to go somewhere to just spend time with the Lord. So when we were closing our 1am conversation with a prayer, God showed me Yishun Dam. So on Friday I made my way there via the bicycle and I really had a great time. The weather was really cooling, with some drizzles that made me pray and ask God to hold that rain. Read Isaiah 58 and 1John. One of the thing that God revealed to be was that all those things that the Lord ask us to do, are so that we will
take delight in Him. I always thought that we do what He commands so that we will delight Him. True, but more importantly, God wants us to be delighted in Him, for in that way we will be truly blessed.
On Saturday had a date with Angela, and I mentioned about the troubles I have with the NTU ministry. She told me that I do have a choice, but it must be one that comes from the Lord. Thus she told me to go back and seek the Lord in regards to this. Well I did, and as much as I try to deceive myself, I know that God's answer is not a No. The clearer answer came during service when Pastor Khong preached about us to be Good Shepherd of the Nation. To be a Good Shepherd, it is Costly, it is Conquering, and it is a Choice. Indeed the words are so divine to many of us. With this, I know that the NTU ministry is a place where God wants me to go. And so I told Him, that I will never doubt or ask Him about it again, for I have clearly heard and now chooses to obey.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Above the NTU ministry, I also ask the Lord to continue to use me mightly in RGS where He had allowed me to enter. I have seen His power working through me to teach and guide the girls in Godly ways, and to lead with a Servant heart. I am still seeking the Lord on how I can do more. Praise the Lord that He had showed me 1 thing, and that is to pray before the training. May the Lord grant favour in this, that the timings will be able to work out, that I will have the courage to do it, and the girls who are Christians will be able to see the same vision and be willing to come for the short time of prayer.

the outer shell
This week has almost come to an end, and it had left me in deep thoughts.
If you look into the horoscope (not talking about predictions here), I'm an Cancerian. And as you all know, the symbol of the Cancer is a crab.
As you all know, crabs have a hard shell covering them, protecting the flesh that is underneath. The only way for you to be able to see and/or taste that flesh (which is like the best part of a crab?), is to kill it and break it open. Only then are you able to appreciate the beauty of the crab (at least for most of us).
How often do I feel that I am like a crab, always walking around with the hard shell around me, hiding the soft and vulnerable side. The pincers may have even caused some to shunt away. Yet if one is able to approach it, know the ways to do so, he/she would be able to reach the soft side. Of course, when fallen into the hands of the wrong person, it may just means pincers being tied up, and soon every one will see and taste that soft and taste side that is forced open. (Of course this will also mean death).
Let this crab go not towards that terrible death by letting the guard down, but let this crab go towards the creator, who will know the beauty of it since He was the one who made it. And may this crab put down its pincer from Him, and allow Him to bring death by breaking that hard shell, but yet still lives cause of the grace and love (soft shell crab?).
"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. " [Galatians 2:20]-----------------------------------------------------------------
Went for a run/workout on Thursday at Yishun Stadium. Long chat with Angela on the phone on Thursday night. Friday cycled via Jalan Kayu to Yishun Dam to do QT... a really peaceful place for that and thus I'll do it again before the school starts. Cycled to North View and went to fix up the other bike that is there. Cycled to bishan park, went back home and rush for cell.
*Cell meeting: Think of Application and to do for the coming week......... To live out Isaiah 58/Galatians 2:20
Saturday woke up early to do some stuff for tuition, head down to Sembawang for tuition, and meet Angela at Sun Plaza. Ended up watching Red Cliff with her there, and some shopping at AMK Central.
Finally back home... watched The Mummy Return, 9.30pm NEWS 5 Tonight, and Troy. Cold bath, blog, sleep.
Good night. More blogging tomorrow night.
Tomorrow: Video for Chinese Service. Video for Youth Service. Consolidation Duty for Youth Service. Meet up After Service. Dinner with Michelle.

quiz
ok I'm bored. so... I got this from Amanda's blog. have fun reading.
-------------------------------------------------
Your view on yourself:
You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties. The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.
(I like this one. lol)
Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person. The seriousness of your love:
You like to flirt and behave seductively. The opposite sex finds this very attractive, and that's why you'll always have admirers hanging off your arms. But how serious are you about choosing someone to be in a relationship with?
(p.s.: this is sooooooo not true? hahaha)
Your views on education
Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.
(i agree!!! (: )
The right job for you:
You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.
(yups yups. still seeking the Lord for what He wants me to do)
How do you view success:
You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying. What are you most afraid of:
You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel. Who is your true self:
You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.
(hmmm....true?)

magicbox
I'm currently at the esplanade backstage. Helping out with video-ing for MagicBox. I was here just last night for the full dress rehearsal preview. Apparently yesterday's rehearsal was very delayed. Suppose to start at 8pm, but it only started at 10.30pm. Well so the show only ended at...1am? But it was really good lah. How often can you get to walk around the esplanade theatre, choosing seats, and seating at the CAT1 seat to watch a show in esplande?! haha. Midnight show somemore. :P
okkkkk. gtg

the Five Love Languages
The Five Love Languages
My primary love language is probably
Acts of Servicewith a secondary love language being
Physical Touch.
Complete set of results
| Acts of Service: | | 11 |
| Physical Touch: | | 6 |
| Receiving Gifts: | | 5 |
| Words of Affirmation: | | 5 |
| Quality Time: | | 3 |
Information
Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.
